Support was decent for a midweight boot.
The real plus is the goretex.
My socks were moist but only from my feet perspiring, not from the rain; they really keep your feet dry!
I do recommend weatherproofing them after 3 long trips though.
On the negative side i find that the seams can pinch so make sure you get a pair that fits you well.
Also vasque sells laces that are just too shore for my taste, you wrap them around the boot once and then have to little lacell left.
Tie the knot too tight and the top of the boot starts digging into your ankle.
Buy longer laces and cut them if you must.
