installed carpet::It is actually a good idea to renew your carpet after every few years.
Carpet installation is not always something that everybody wants to do, but with the proper mind set and a good knowledge of the deed, it is actually quite manageable and a lot easier than it looks.
The first thing to do is to lay down the underpad.
Place the underpad down on the bare floor in strips.
Any excess underlay should be trimmed and the seams can then be sealed by something as simple as duct tape.
The next task is to install the carpet properly.
Start with a piece that overlaps the edge of the floor by approximately 4 to 6 inches.
Afterwards, the overlay can be trimmed, which allows for the proper fit of the carpet.
Everything else comes down easy afterwards.
The seams should then be handled as soon as the carpet is properly laid out.
In order to join carpet pieces, overlap two parts and then cut through both carpet pieces with the use of a utility knife or a professional seam cutter, which you can actually rent out.
Use a piece of seaming tape afterwards, and stick it right underneath where both pieces of carpet join.
A seaming iron can then be used to activate the adhesive.
As soon as the carpet is attached, tuck the carpet down right into the gaps that are between the tackless strips and the wall with the use of a stair tool.
